Recommendation: Matcha Hot Chocolate
My fiancΓ©e recently had the idea of trying out chocolate powder with matcha, making a matcha hot chocolate. I was curious to try as well.
The color is a bit... weird, looks a bit like paint water. But the taste is great! It makes the more mainstream hot chocolate powder like Nesquik and equivalents taste more like the fancier cocoa powders that are very dark and bitter. The matcha adds a bit more complex bitterness to the chocolate.
I would not ""waste"" good matcha on this, especially all the time; but occasionally or to get rid of matcha you like less, or cheap culinary grade matcha is totally fine. Maybe you like the energy matcha gives you, and don't like mocha, so a matcha hot chocolate is more your thing.
