Matcha drink by rioca

I have had a bit of a backlog writing my matcha reviews! This one I got while I was sick in a hotel room in November, oops.

General Info

This one is a premade cold drink bottle with matcha and oat milk. It's sweetened a little, too. My wife brought it to me as I laid in the hotel bed, and online I can see you can get a 12-pack for 24,99, so one probably costs 2 Euro or a little more.

Color and Smell

I didn't dump it into a glass to properly check, but from looking in, it looked fairly green and okay. Not brownish or yellowish. The design is printed on the bottle, so don't think that actually reflects the matcha inside!
Smell was grassy, milky, sweet. Not particularly fragrant, though.

Taste

Fairly cheap, cooking/baking matcha, rather grassy but not too bitter. No complex flavors. Not drowned out by sugar and milk. No clumps, no roughness on the tongue, taste is equal across the bottle, so no concentration of powder or anything towards the end. I think it is appropriately balanced.

Conclusion

I wanna acknowledge that this isn't competing against the matcha tins you can buy, or freshly made drinks in the cafe - of course this is not gonna be as good. But I also wouldn't want newbies who wanna try out matcha to try this one first, and I think matcha lovers could be a little disappointed if they don't adjust their expectations. It's good for a drink-to-go matcha, probably as good as it's gonna get without clumps and overt bitterness or tons of sugar; I think they got the balance and delivery right for such a fickle product that cannot be too expensive. But you might just wanna make your own to go, or get some at a cafe.
